  7. Accelerate the change
  8. Anchor the changes in your corporate culture

The Impact Decision Jam is a flexible combination of exercises inspired by the core principles of design thinking. It was designed to replace open-ended meetings and discussions with a clear, structured process. At Limelights, we do our best to set your remote or hybrid IDJ up for success with the help of one of our expert facilitators and online collaboration tools like Zoom and Miro (we will also invite you to do a Miro crash course to make sure you are well-prepared for the session).

Steps of the Impact Decision Jam:

  1. Start with things that are working
  2. Capture all the problems
  3. Prioritize problems
  4. Reframe the problems as standardized challenges
  5. Ideate without discussion
  6. Prioritize solutions
  7. Decide what to execute on
  8. Make solutions actionable

It only takes about 45-60 minutes to run, and it leaves your team feeling energized, engaged, productive, and ready for action.

Turn your ideas into reality with Remote Design Sprints ⏩

We believe design sprints are one of the best ways to generate innovative, game-changing ideas due to its highly immersive, collaborative, rapid-testing format. A sprint is a short, set period of time during which a team works to complete a specific project. It’s fast, iterative, and (hopefully) fun!

Here's what a sprint session looks like with Limelights:

  1. Map: define the challenge through methods like expert interviews.
  2. Sketch: brainstorm a mass of solutions.
  3. Decide: curate and choose the best solution.
  4. Prototype: design and build a prototype of your solution.
  5. Test: test with five real users – and learn!

Recently, we led a two-day workshop for engineering consultancy firm Royal HaskoningDHV, where we trained eight employees to facilitate remote design sprints. In these workshops, we make use of a wide range of online collaboration tools like Zoom, Miro, and Mentimeter.

In our experience, remote or hybrid sprints can be even more effective because it requires everyone to be actively engaged. In traditional in-person sprints, the same group of people are often the most vocal – but remote sprints give room for everyone to share their ideas. Ultimately, remote sprints are more inclusive – which leads to better ideas!
